Cedar & Sparrow

Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 July 2026

These are the terms that apply when you use this website or buy one of our digital resources. We've written them plainly, without legal fog, so you know exactly where you stand.

1. Who we are

Cedar & Sparrow ("we", "us") is a small, independent business creating Scripture-rooted resources for women walking through grief. By using this website or buying our products, you agree to these terms.

2. What we offer

We sell digital products — a grief journal, audio reflections, printable Scripture cards, a memorial keepsake, and a ministry license. Everything is delivered as an instant download. Nothing physical is shipped to you.

3. Purchases and payment

All purchases are processed by Gumroad, not by us directly. When you buy, you also accept Gumroad's own terms, and their checkout handles your payment. We never see or store your card details. Prices are shown in US dollars and may change at any time, though a change will never affect a purchase you have already made.

4. How you may use our products

Personal use

When you buy the journal, audio reflections, Scripture cards, or memorial keepsake, you receive a personal, non-transferable licence for your own use. You may:

You may not:

Small-Group & Ministry Licence

The Small-Group & Ministry Licence allows one organisation — a single church, grief group, Bible study, or ministry — to print and share the journal internally with the members it serves. It does not permit reselling, publishing the files publicly, or sharing them with other organisations.

5. Our work belongs to us

All text, artwork, audio, and design on this website and in our products remain the intellectual property of Cedar & Sparrow. Buying a product gives you the right to use it, not to own or redistribute it. Scripture quotations are from the King James Version, which is in the public domain.

6. Refunds

Our refund terms are set out in full on our Refund Policy page.

7. An important word about grief

Our resources offer spiritual comfort rooted in Scripture. They are not medical advice, psychological treatment, therapy, or crisis care, and they are not a substitute for professional help.

If you are struggling badly, or having thoughts of harming yourself, please reach out to a trusted person, your doctor, a pastor, or a qualified mental health professional — or contact your local emergency or crisis service.

8. No promises about outcomes

Our products are offered in good faith and "as is". Grief is deeply personal, and we cannot promise a particular result, a particular feeling, or a particular timeline. What we can promise is care in what we make.

9. Limits of our responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cedar & Sparrow is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or our products. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Links to other places

This site links to third parties (such as Gumroad). We are not responsible for their content or practices.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page will always show the current version.
