Cedar & Sparrow is a small, independent business offering Scripture-rooted comfort for women walking through grief. We ask for very little information, and we treat what you share with care. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Cedar & Sparrow ("we", "us") operates this website. For any question about this policy or your information, write to hello@cedarsparrowco.com — a real person reads it.
What we collect
Your email address
If you sign up for the free 3-day Scripture & Comfort challenge, we collect your email address — nothing more. We do not ask for your name, your address, or any details about your loss.
What we do not collect
This website does not use analytics software, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies. We do not build a profile of you, we do not follow you around the internet, and we do not try to learn anything about you beyond the email address you choose to give us.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your email address only to:
- send you the three emails of the free challenge you signed up for;
- occasionally share new Cedar & Sparrow resources or a gentle offer.
We rely on your consent as the lawful basis for this. You give it by entering your email and submitting the form, and you may withdraw it at any time. We will never sell, rent, or trade your email address to anyone.
Who else is involved
To run this small business we rely on a few trusted services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- EmailOctopus — stores our email list and delivers our emails.
- Gumroad — handles all purchases. If you buy something, you do so on Gumroad's website; we never see or store your payment card details.
- Google Fonts — supplies the typefaces used on this site. When your browser loads them, your IP address is shared with Google.
- Hostinger — hosts this website.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address for as long as you wish to hear from us. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we remove it from our list.
Your choices
Unsubscribe at any time. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're removed — no questions, no guilt.
Ask us anything. You may ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Email hello@cedarsparrowco.com and we will act on your request.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR (Europe and the UK) — including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your information, to object to its use, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Keeping it safe
We keep your information only with reputable providers and share it with no one else. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — but we collect as little as possible, which is the best protection of all.
Children
This website and its resources are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Our emails and resources offer spiritual comfort rooted in Scripture. They are not medical advice, therapy, or crisis care. If you are struggling badly, please reach out to a trusted person, your doctor, a pastor, or a qualified mental health professional.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
